Bouldin Creek Addition

A new screened porch adds outdoor living.

The problem. The homeowners have a beautifully-maintained, 80-year-old home in the Bouldin neighborhood. They needed a new garage, an ADA ramp to accommodate visits from disabled friends and colleagues, and a rear screened porch off the kitchen with room for a wood burning stove.

But how to make the porch open up and out to provide light and take advantage of their shady, private garden?

The solution. The Solluna team designed a screened porch addition with a "butterfly" roof, giving the porch height, light, and a feeling of spaciousness.

The new garage and the rebuilt front porch tie nicely into the property and look as if they've always been there.

And a Little Free Library. After the owners completed their landscaping, Solluna built a Little Free Library and bench using leftover materials. The library is a neighborhood favorite and even has its own Facebook page.
