About Solluna Builders

Ready to start planning your new home or renovation, but not quite sure how to go about it?

That's okay. We've got you covered.

Bring us an idea. Bring us a budget. Let's sit down and talk it through.

Solluna gives you one-stop shopping for planning, design, and construction, saving you time and money.

We get a kick out of helping you figure out the best use of your property. We'll put together a hand-picked team to turn your ideas into a harmonious, comfortable, lovable home.

A big part of our job is to educate you about the building process. We want you to understand what you need to know to make smart choices to meet your needs, control costs, and add value to your home.

You set the budget. We'll mind it for you. We plan for your needs, wants, and wishes while respecting your financial requirements.

Solluna's roots are in green building

When we founded Solluna Builders in 2002, we set a deliberate path to build energy-efficient, healthy, comfortable green homes.

Since the beginning, Solluna has been a green building leader in the Austin area.

Solluna homeowners

Our clients focus on honest quality, comfort, and enduring value. They want a rock-solid home that lasts longer, is healthier, and saves money because it's designed and built to be super energy efficient.

Many are last-time home buyers. "This is the last house I'm going to build, so I want it to be right, and I want it to last." They choose to invest in a high-performance home that will cost less to operate year after year.

Lots of questions. Our clients are the kind of people who question everything. They know what they want. Often they come to Solluna Builders because they can't find what they want anywhere else.

Homework pays off. Our clients have usually done their homework. They've read the books. Attended the seminars. Researched on the web. They often bring us new and refreshing ides. Naturally, they want a home that uses as little energy as possible. A home with high indoor air quality. A comfortable home. A home that lasts.

The early bird. Our most successful clients start early. They set a budget and shop for financing up front. They bring Solluna Builders in early so we can work with them through planning and design. They're willing to roll up their sleeves. They understand the value of teamwork and collaboration.

Planning. Like us, our successful clients appreciate the value of careful, detailed planning that eliminates surprises and cost overruns down the road.

Happy home owners. In the end, our clients are satisfied with the choices they've made and are happy in their new homes.

Who We Are

Wayne J.jpg

Wayne Jeansonne, Founder and President

A Graduate Master Builder, Wayne was building green homes long before it was the cool thing to do. When Wayne started Solluna Builders in 2002, his goal was to build comfortable, healthy, high-performance homes. He is recognized for his knowledge, years of experience, and ongoing efforts to mentor the industry to a more sustainable path and to protect our quality of life.

Wayne led the Green Building program at American YouthWorks beginning in 1999. It was on-the-job training for students and a busy R&D center for new, exciting materials and techniques.

A popular speaker and consultant, Wayne uses his experience as a Realtor to help you choose features and materials that increase the value of your property. Choose Solluna Builders, and you’ll enjoy his practical, common-sense approach.

Wayne is an avid motorcyclist, studies bass guitar, and plays in a garage band.

Mary Simon, Vice President, Operations

Mary manages the business and finances and works closely with clients projects during planning, estimating, and construction.

She's a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist.

Before joining Solluna in 2008, Mary spent 25 years in high-tech product development, where she was a planner, project manager, and information designer for large-scale projects. “There were lots of moving parts and many many players, plus deadlines, budgets, stakeholders, and constant changes. Lots to juggle. I was keeper of the big picture.”

Mary is a pianist and choral singer, and she loves getting dirty in the garden.
