About Solluna Builders

Owner Wayne JeansonneWayne Jeansonne, Owner, was building green homes long before it was the cool thing to do.

In 1999, Wayne led the Green Builder program at American YouthWorks. It was on-the-job training for students and a busy R&D center for new, exciting materials and techniques. “We tried it all -- modular wall systems, insulated concrete forms, structural insulated panels, straw bale, cob, optimal framing techniques, different kinds of insulation, metal roofs. We found out what works and what doesn't work.”

Excited and determined to take green building mainstream, Wayne started his own company in 2002. His goal: Build comfortable, healthy, high-performance homes. “It's the right thing to do.”

A popular speaker and consultant, Wayne uses his experience as a Realtor to help you choose features and materials that increase the value of your property. Choose Solluna Builders, and you'll enjoy his practical, common-sense approach.

Wayne had a blast filming an episode of the Greenovate TV show about a 5-star-rated green home he built in east Austin. More. An avid motorcyclist, Wayne taught a motorcycle safety course for six years. He studies bass guitar and plays in a garage band – hey, it's Austin; everybody's in a band.

"Solluna" is a combination of the Spanish words for sun and moon -- el sol y la luna.

Mary Simon, Business Manager, keeps the wheels turning at the office, managing finances and working with clients. She spent 25 years in high-tech product development, where she was a planner, project manager, and information designer for large-scale projects. “There were lots of moving parts and many many players, plus deadlines, budgets, stakeholders, and constant changes. Lots to juggle. I was keeper of the big picture.” Mary plays a mean boogie-woogie piano, sings with a chorus, and loves getting dirty in the garden.
